I’ve tried plenty of tinned fish, but these are the first where the smoky olive oil actually tastes intentional rather than just greasy. The flesh is firm and clean, not mushy, and it’s become my go-to for a quick lunch on toast.
The can opened to perfectly steamed fillets, and that smoky olive oil was rich enough to treat like a sauce. I've had tinned fish that turns mushy, but these held their shape beautifully.
The smoky kick in the olive oil hits just right, and the fish stays moist and tender instead of flaking into mush. I spread them on crispbread for lunch and the whole tin was gone in five minutes.
