The texture of these canned mussels is firmer than the jarred ones I usually buy, and they hold up nicely tossed cold through a simple salad. Splitting a tin as an aperitif with friends worked just as well, though I'd happily keep a couple stocked for myself.
Took a jar to a friend's place for an aperitif and we finished it before the drinks were even poured. The texture of the fish is firm but delicate, and the natural brine tastes clean, not overly salty. Perfect straight from the fridge with some bread.
