The chunks are tender without being mushy, and the sauce clings to them just right for spooning over rice or bread. I've tried plenty of tinned squid, and this one's got a gentle warmth that doesn't overpower the seafood.
The sauce is the star here—mildly spicy and so smooth it clings to every chopped piece of squid without drowning it. I spooned the last bit straight from the tin with a cracker, it was that good.
Opened the tin and the squid was already chopped into perfect little pieces, so it went straight onto toast without any fuss. The sauce is mild but has that gentle spicy kick that makes it feel a bit more special than your average tinned seafood.
